Eligibility & Rules
Must be a full-time employee or the son or daughter of any owner, partner, officer or full-time employee of a WVWA Class A Wholesale Member in good standing.
Must be a high school senior accepted for admission in the fall of 2020 or presently enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis.
Scholarship is intended to be used for tuition, books and supplies only.
Applications must be received by June 28th.
Awards
One $2,000 and two $1000 scholarships will be awarded for one full year of study. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
High school or college grades
ACT/SAT scores and class rank
Extra-curricular academic and non-academic activities including church, community and employment
Original essay on either career objective or a meaningful experience (no longer than three typewritten pages). Much emphasis will be placed on this portion for the Jan Vineyard & John Hodges Memorial $2,000 Scholarship.
Selection
The West Virginia Wholesalers Association Scholarship Committee will select winners.
Payment of Scholarship
Scholarship Checks will be mailed to each recipient’s home address.
